Soloist, choral, and instrumental auditions are OPEN for our Christ-centered production:

King of Kings Soloist Audition Requirements:

• Review the open roles listed below and select one or more that you’d love to audition for.

• Find the “Audition Excerpts” section.

• Click the “Soloist Excerpts” button.

• Locate the folder for your desired role and prepare the music provided.

• Complete the audition form below and click “Submit.”

• You will be contacted for an appointment.

Additional Soloist numbers for the festive first half of the show

• Two women soloists for “Sisters” from White Christmas, also two men soloists to perform a lip-sync to the same number.

• One woman soloist for “Come O, Come” processional by Mack Wilberg.

• One male or female soloist for “Jesus, O What a Wonderful Child”

Instrumental Audition requirements:

• Scroll down to find the “Audition Excerpts” section.

• Click the “Instrumental Excerpts” button.

• Locate the folder for your instrument and prepare the music provided.

• Prepare the excerpt noted in the filename of the PDF document.

• Complete the audition form below and click “Submit.”

• You will be contacted for an appointment.

Choir Audition requirements:

• Scroll down and click the “Choir” button in the “Audition Excerpts” section.

• A PDF of “America the Beautiful” will be displayed. Prepare to sing the melody of this song a capella.

• Prepare 16 measures of a song of your choosing that you have mastered.

• Complete the audition form below and click “Submit.”

• You will be contacted for an appointment.

Rehearsal & Concert Requirements:

Note: The rehearsal schedule below is subject to change as plans are finalized.

• The choir typically rehearses on Tuesdays 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., & the Philharmonic rehearses on Wednesdays 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at:

  American Preparatory Academy

  Draper 2 Campus Multipurpose Room (Phil) or Choir Room

• Christmas Concert rehearsals will begin on October 21st and 22nd, for Choir and Philharmonic, respectively.

• Soloists need to plan on a Blocking Rehearsal:

  • Time:

    • Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, 9 a.m. to Noon;

  • Location:

    • LDS Stake Center

• “Mistletoe & Miracles” mandatory combined rehearsals with Soloists, Philharmonic, and Choir on Wednesdays, December 10th & December 17th, 6 - 10 p.m. at American Preparatory Academy Draper 2 Campus noted above.

• “Mistletoe & Miracles” mandatory combined Tech rehearsal with Soloists, Philharmonic, and Choir on Saturday, December 19th, 2024, 3:30 p.m. at the Performance venue.

• Soloists also need to plan on an extensive Mic Check: Thursday, December 18th, 2025, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Performance venue.

• “Mistletoe & Miracles” Performances Friday & Saturday, December 19th & 20th, 2025, 7 p.m. at:

  Skyridge High School Performing Arts Auditorium

• Sell 5 tickets.

• Choir & Philharmonic: Purchase concert dress, if necessary (black suit, black dress, binder, necklace, etc.)
