Vocal Soloist, Choral, and Instrumental auditions are OPEN for our Christ-centered production:




“Lamb of God”(March 2025)


Please pay particular attention to the accuracy of your contact information; we don't want to miss our chance to hear you.


Solo audition requirements:

  • Scroll down to find the “Audition Excerpts” section.

  • Click the “Solo Excerpts” button.

  • Locate the folder for your desired role and prepare the music provided.

  • Prepare the excerpt(s) noted in the filename of the PDF document(s).

  • Complete the audition form and click “Submit.”

  • You will be contacted for an audition time.

Instrumental audition requirements:

  • Scroll down to find the “Audition Excerpts” section.

  • Click the “Instrumental Excerpts” button.

  • Locate the folder for your instrument and prepare the music provided.

  • Prepare the excerpt(s) noted in the filename of the PDF document(s).

  • Complete the audition form and click “Submit.”

  • You will be contacted for an audition time.

Choir audition requirements:

  • Scroll down and click the “Choir” button in the “Audition Excerpts” section.

  • A PDF of “America the Beautiful” will be displayed. Prepare to sing the melody of this song a capella.

  • Prepare 16 measures of a song of your choosing that you have mastered.

  • Complete the audition form and click “Submit.”

  • You will be contacted for an audition time.

All Auditionee Requirements:

  • Attend all rehearsals and performances. See the detailed schedule below.

  • Sell 5 tickets.

  • Choir & Philharmonic: Purchase concert dress, if necessary (black suit, black dress, binder, necklace, etc.)

Friday and Saturday, March 21 - 22, 2025

Choral and Philharmonic Rehearsals

  • Choral-only rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings typically from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

    • Jan. 21st

    • Jan. 28th

    • Feb. 4th

    • Feb. 11th

    • Feb. 18th

    • Feb. 25th

    • Mar. 4th (if needed)

  • Philharmonic-only rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings typically from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

    • Jan. 22th

    • Jan. 29th

    • Feb. 5th

    • Feb. 12th

    • Feb. 19th

    • Feb. 26th

Blocking rehearsal for soloists:

  • Each soloist role will be scheduled for a specific time(s) during the blocking rehearsal, so most roles will only need to attend a portion of the blocking rehearsal.

  • March 1, 2025 - 9 A.M. to Noon.

Phil & Choir Combined Rehearsal

  • Choir and Philharmonic will have a combined rehearsal scheduled on Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. near the production run.

    • “Lamb of God” - March 5, 2025

Soloists, Phil, & Choir Combined Rehearsal

  • All performers: Soloists, Choir, and Philharmonic will combine for two technical/run-through rehearsals scheduled on Wednesdays before the production week from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

    • “Lamb of God” - March 12 & 19, 2025

Soloist Mic Check

  • Soloists will be required to come to the production venue for an extensive mic check

  • Each soloist will be scheduled for a time slot in the block noted below:

    • Thursday, March 20, 2025 - 8 - 9:00 P.M.

Mandatory Tech Rehearsal

  • It is held during the early afternoon of the first performance day.

    • Soloists Mic Checks, 3:10 p.m.

    • Choir & Phil call time, 3:15 p.m.

    • Technical Rehearsal, 3:30 p.m.

    • Dinner break, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

    • Prayer Meeting, 6:40 p.m. - Atrium

    • Performance, 7 p.m.

      • Concert Length - 85 minutes

  • “Lamb of God” - Saturday, March 22, 2025

    • Soloists Mic Checks, 1:20 p.m.

    • Soloists, Choir, & Phil call time for spot checks (No costumes), 1:30 p.m.

    • Break, 2:30 - 3:10 p.m.

    • Matinee Performance, 3:30 p.m.

      • Concert Length - 85 minutes

    • Dinner break, 5:15 = 6:30 p.m.

    • Prayer Meeting, 6:40 p.m. - Atrium

    • Evening Performance, 7 p.m.

      • Concert Length - 85 minutes

    • Strike the stage, 9:30 p.m.

 Audition Excerpts

Soloists:

  • Click the Solo Excerpts button 

    • Select the folder appropriate folder for your desired Solo role.  

    • Prepare all music for your audition making note of measure numbers. 

 Instrumentalists:

  • Click the Instrumental Excerpts button 

    • Select the folder appropriate for your instrument.  

    • Prepare all music for your audition.  

    • Note: these music excerpts show the skill set needed for our productions.  

Choir:

  •  Click the Choir button. 

  • Choir Audition Requirements:

    • Prepare 16 measures of a song of your choosing that you have mastered.

    • Sing “America the Beautiful” melody line, while keeping the pitch.
