Each role will be scheduled for a specific time(s) during the Blocking rehearsal, so most roles will only need to attend a portion of each Blocking rehearsal.

  • Soloist mic check starting at 5:15 p.m.

  • Rehearsal downbeat at 6:00 p.m. 

  • Soloists, please bring the costume items you have been asked to wear, especially your own shoes!

  • Plan on wearing your costumes.

  • Tech Rehearsals

Friday, October 16, 2025:

We will not be in concert dress for this rehearsal, although soloists will be in costume. (You need to practice getting in and out of your costumes.)

3:30 pm. Downbeat for our essential tech rehearsal. We need to do a run-through of the entire concert for lighting and sound levels. 

6:00 pm. Dinner break. Please bring your own dinner.

Saturday, October 17, 2025:

3:00 pm. Call time for all, in concert dress and costumes.

  • We need to move percussion, stands, and chairs back into position on the stage.

  • Run through problem spots.

  • Close-up action and still group photos will be taken during this rehearsal.

5:30 pm. Dinner break. Please bring your own dinner.

  • Run of Show

6:40 pm. Prayer meeting for all in the Atrium. In concert dress.

6:50 pm. Phil comes on stage to warm up.

6:55 pm. Choir files on stage.

6:59 pm. Marsali comes on stage and tunes the Phil.

7:00 pm. Announcer-soloists come out and welcome the audience. Invocation. Concert begins.

The concert length, including intermission, should be about 2 hrs. 

9:00 pm.

Friday Night:

  • Please, all help.

  • We need to move all the chairs, stands, and percussion off the stage after the concert.

  • The risers can stay. (There will be play practices on the stage on Saturday morning.)

Saturday Night:

  • Load out until done. 

  • Please, all help.

  • Please turn in all your music, scarves, and ties in the bins provided after the concert.

Notes concerning this location:

Parking:

  • Since the students get out at 12:45 pm on Fridays and there are no home games at CCHS that day, there should be plenty of parking.

  • Please park farther away from the school so our concert patrons can park close to the auditorium.

Entrance:

  • The auditorium is on the NE corner of the school.

  • There is an entrance door on the north side of the building.

  • Bring your belongings to the Atrium. Soloists, bring your costumes to the backstage Dressing Rooms.

Concert dress reminders:

  • All - Black shoes without any white on them. 

  • Men - Black crew socks that cover your ankles. 

  • Phil men - Black suit, white dress shirt, black bow tie.

  • Phil women -Black long skirt or dress at least mid-calf suggested (Cellists & Percussionists may wear black dress slacks), top not low cut, 3/4 length sleeves, black hose, black shoes. 

  • Choir - matching scarves and ties may be handed out at a combined rehearsal. Please return them after the Saturday evening performance before you leave the venue.
