The Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society’s goal is to bring wholesome, inspiring, uplifting entertainment to our community. Neither our leadership team, including our conductor and Board of Directors, nor our volunteer members in the choir and orchestra are being paid for their efforts. In some cases, when we are short on volunteer instrumentalists, we may have to pay a few musicians for their skills, but those cases are a very small minority. In fact, Society members are donating thousands of unpaid hours and many personal resources to make this endeavor successful. As of January 2023, we had a total of 135,870 volunteer hours, equating to $3,125,010 in volunteer in-kind financial support to the Society. We are so grateful for our members!

Having original music composed, renting venues and equipment, purchasing published music, marketing performances, and other requirements for producing our concerts are very expensive. We strive to keep our ticket prices low so those whole families can attend. Therefore, ticket income does not come close to covering all of our costs. That is why we appreciate so much every dollar that is donated to help us continue this work. Thank you so much!
