Vocal and Instrumental auditions are OPEN for our Patriotic production:

“George Washington:

Ordained of God”

(This masterwork is a solo, choral, and orchestral recounting of the true history of George Washington’s difficulties and God’s miracles wrought during the American War for Independence, which led to the birth of our nation.)

Please make sure your schedule can be arranged to participate in this work according to the Production Schedule listed at the bottom of this page.

Each Soloist needs to prepare the excerpts for their desired role or roles for their audition. Click on the ‘Soloists’ Excerpts’ button below to find the music and recordings needed to prepare these excerpts.

Auditions will be held at:

Instrumentalists:

  • Select the folder appropriate for your instrument.  

  • Print all music in the folder.  

  • Prepare all music for your audition.  

  • Note: these music excerpts show the skill set needed for our productions.  

Choir:

•  Click the Choir button. 

  • Print the music.  

• Choir Audition Requirements:

  • Prepare 16 measures of a song of your choosing that you have mastered.

  • Sing “America the Beautiful” melody line, while keeping the pitch.

  • Sight read a line of your choir part (SATB) of a song that will be presented to you at the audition.

Each role will be scheduled for a specific time(s) during the Blocking rehearsal, so most roles will only need to attend a portion of the Blocking rehearsal.

Phil & Choir Combined Rehearsal

Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Mandatory Full Dress Rehearsals

The Wednesdays of May 29th and June 5th, 2024, from 6 pm to 10 pm

Combined & Dress Rehearsals will be held at:
